Ke$ha Is Channeling 'Sexiness' Of '70s Rock For New Album
Glitter-heavy pop star tells MTV News she's going for 'balls-out, irreverent rock and roll.'

<P><a href="/music/artist/_kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a>'s already got the face paint down pat, and, during recent live sets, she's even taken to <a href="http://www.popeater.com/2011/03/17/kesha-drinks-blood-during-performance" target="_blank">guzzling blood</a> out of a human heart, so it should come as no surprise that, on her upcoming album, the pop star is taking things back to the most <i>theatrical</i> era of rock: the prop-heavy, arena-spanning heyday of the 1970s. </P><P> </P><P>Ke$h revealed her plans over the weekend in Los Angeles, on the red carpet of KIIS FM's annual <a href="/news/articles/1663909/wango-tango-britney-spears-kesha.jhtml">Wango Tango</a> concert, where she told MTV News that the follow-up to her breakout <i>Animal</i> album (and, we suppose, <a href="/news/articles/1652714/kehas-cannibal-a-cheat-sheet.jhtml"><i>Cannibal</i></a> too) would be heavy on hard riffs and light on pretty much <i>everything</i> else. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Says New Album Will Be ' Balls-Out, Irreverent Rock'" id="vid:652875" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>"The next album ... I've been working on writing on the road, but as far as a sound, I just know it's gonna be balls-out, irreverent rock and roll," she said. "I've been pretty much in this '70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that's just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f---, so we'll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it." </P><P> </P><P>So, does that mean that fans can expect the likes of Alice Cooper or Peter Frampton to show up on her new album? Perhaps. Because while Ke$ha's new album is still a ways off, she's already begun calling in favors, hoping to line up a killer collabo for the new disc. </P><P> </P><P>"I'm trying, trust me," she laughed. Michael Jackson Doctor Conrad Murray Files Appeal
Murray will represent himself as he contests involuntary manslaughter conviction for which he faces up to four years in state prison.

<P>As expected, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml">Michael Jackson</a>'s former doctor <a href="/news/articles/1673957/conrad-murray-appeal-verdict-michael-jackson.jhtml">Conrad Murray has filed an appeal</a> to challenge his involuntary manslaughter conviction. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Michael Jackson's Former Doctor Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter" id="vid:708788.id:1673923" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>According to <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2011/12/02/conrad-murray-files-appeal-involuntary-manslaughter" target="_blank">TMZ</a>, Murray filed the petition in pro per, which means he has decided to forego hiring legal representation and represent himself. He reportedly listed "Men's Central Jail" and his booking number in the space on the appeal document where a lawyer would normally list a firm's name or contact information. </P><P> </P><P>TMZ also reported that although Murray seems to be without a lawyer, he is still in communication with Nareg Gourjian, one of the attorneys who represented him during his manslaughter trial. </P><P> </P><P>"This case presents a gold mine of issues for any appellate lawyer," Gourjian told TMZ. "Dr. Murray is confident that the Court of Appeal will vindicate him." </P><P> </P><P>Following the guilty verdict, Murray's lead defense lawyer Ed Chernoff told CNN, "What matters most right now is trying to keep Dr. Murray from taking up a prison cell in this community. That's what we're focusing on right now, and we'll deal with an appeal after that." </P><P> </P><P><a href="/news/articles/1675062/conrad-murray-sentence.jhtml">Murray was sentenced to four years</a> in jail Tuesday, but due to overcrowding, he's unlikely to serve his full term. </p>

Austin Mahone Admitted to Hospital for Blood Clot and Throat Inflammation
After being rushed to the hospital and giving a big scare to friends and fans with his tweets, teen-pop sensation Austin Mahone's illness is revealed.
A representative for the Youtube superstar stated that Austin was ?admitted to the hospital with 104 temperature and is being treated for a blood clot and extreme inflammation in his throat, as well as severe dehydration.?
As previously reported, Austin's fall "MTV Artist to Watch Tour" has indeed been postponed until the 17-year-old recovers from his current afflictions. His mother posted on his official website, writing, "Hey Mahomies, its Austin?s mom Michele Mahone. Austin is very ill. Unfortunately we are going to have to postpone the entire MTV Artist to Watch Tour."
She continued, "Austin is very upset about this & we want to say we are sorry to all the Mahomies & their parents who have made arrangements to come out. We feel very bad but we have no choice but to postpone the tour for now. Thank you for your prayers #prayforAustin."

Justin Bieber In Hot Water After Phone Number Prank
After Bieber allegedly tweeted nine digits of a Texas phone number, two local residents are threatening legal action.

<P>Earlier this month, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> decided to have a little fun with his 19 million Twitter followers when he posted a mysterious phone number and told them "call me right now." </P><P> </P><P>In the tweet — which has since been deleted (but can be seen <a href="http://chunkit.net/wp-content/plugins/RSSPoster_PRO/cache/ba90d_screen-shot-2012-03-08-at-5-18-27-pm.jpg" target="_blank">here</a> ... with the number blocked out) — Bieber included just nine digits of a Texas number, leaving the true Beliebers to figure out the rest ... which, not surprisingly, caused some headaches for folks who had similar numbers. And now, two of them reportedly have threatened legal action. </P><P> </P><P><center><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:753202/cp~vid%3D753202%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A753202" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></center> </P><P> </P><P>According to <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/03/27/justin-bieber-twitter-phone-number-prank/#.T3GsLfF5mSM" target="_blank">TMZ</a>, a pair of Texas residents (a woman named Dilcie and a man named Kent) have hired an attorney, claiming that since the tweet, their phones have been ringing non-stop. And they're seeking compensation from Bieber for his "reckless" behavior. </P><P> </P><P>The attorney tells the site that her clients received more than 1,000 phone calls from Bieber fans, at all hours of the day, and their patience "wears thin." So they're looking for restitution, which could come in any number of forms: An apology from JB himself, concert tickets for Dilcie's grandchildren, an endorsement for Kent's "upcoming online project," or — of course — cold, hard cash. </P><P> </P><P>Kent, who doesn't want his last name to be revealed, subsequently <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/justin-bieber-tweets-fake-phone-number-15892632" target="_blank">told ABC News</a> that he's had his number for 20 years, and he doesn't want to change it just because of Bieber. Of course, there <i>is</i> a question about whether Justin's initial tweets were even authentic, or if his account was somehow hacked.
