<P>"I'm bewildered," <a href="/music/artist/plant_robert/artist.jhtml">Robert Plant</a> said onstage as he accepted the <MTVNLINK type="news" id="1604580">Grammy Album of the Year award</MTVNLINK> with <a href="/music/artist/krauss_alison/artist.jhtml">Alison Krauss</a> on Sunday night. "In the old days we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday." He was probably one of the few who were surprised, because <i>Raising Sand,</i> which won five trophies at Sunday night's show, is in many ways the perfect <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys/">Grammy</a> album. It features two respected veterans, a critically lauded producer, some sandpaper-and-velvet vocals and a baker's dozen of time-tested standards.</p><div style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left;"><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:338316" width="256" height="223" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashVars="configParams=instance%3Dnews%26vid%3D338316" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></div><p> You're probably familiar with Robert Plant from his <a href="/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</a> days, and you might be aware of producer T-Bone Burnett's work on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack (it won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002). And if you don't know who Alison Krauss is, she possesses a haunting set of pipes and is one of the meanest fiddle players in the world. Oh, and she's won 21 Grammys, more than any other female artist and the seventh-most in history. Really, she's the key to <i>Sand</i>'s success, and not just because of her voice (or her fiddle playing). She and Plant first met in 2004, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to legendary bluesman Leadbelly, and the former Zeppelin man was amazed by her knowledge of American Roots music — so much so that they began kicking around the idea of recording an album together. Three years later, <i>Sand</i> was released. And while Plant possesses the more famous voice, the album's finest moments radiate from Krauss. Whether she's getting bluesy on Little Milton's "Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson" or entwining with Plant's husky voice on songs like "Please Read the Letter" and Roly Salley's winsome "Killing the Blues," she more than carries her end of the bargain. And perhaps that's also due to producer Burnett, who handpicked the 13 songs the duo cover on <i>Sand.</i> His arrangements are sparse — giving the two voices ample room to breathe — yet dense, warm and crackling at the same time. It's a testament to his work that he's often given just as much billing as Plant and Krauss on the project ... and it's certainly justified. To date, <i>Sand</i> has sold more than 1 million copies, heaped tons of acclaim and actually earned a Grammy last year — "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" took home the award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals. One expert was surprised not by the album's success, but by the fact that it's actually quite a good album. "At first, the album seemed like a vanity project. ... Two names, clearly a one-off record, didn't have to be any good, you know?" <i>New York Times</i> music critic Jon Caramanica said. "Led Zeppelin fans would buy it because of Robert Plant, Alison Krauss would get a check. But it actually turned out to be a really thoughtful, really <i>good</i> record. So when you combine all that with the fact that the Grammys love to lionize one of their own, I could really see it taking home some awards." </p>

Lil Wayne, T.I., Wiz Khalifa To Get 'Sleazy' With Ke$ha
Tip confirms second remix in the works for track, which previously featured a remix verse from Andre 3000.

Now, a few more rappers want to get dirty with the glittery pop singer. <a href="http://www.xxlmag.com/news/2011/10/t-i-andre-300-lil-wayne-wiz-khalifa-record-kesha-remix" target="_blank">XXLmag.com</a> reports that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/t_i_/artist.jhtml">T.I.</a> plans to jump on the track, and Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa will also be joining Andre and Tip on a new version of "Sleazy." Weezy should be a welcome addition to <a href="/news/articles/1651081/keha-gets-sleazy-on-new-cannibal-track.jhtml">Ke$ha's dance tune</a>, as it sounds somewhat like Wayne's single "A Milli." And while not much else is known about the remix, T.I. promised that he's going to go big with his verse. "I haven't heard anybody but mine. ... I'm gonna put my money on mine," the newly freed rapper, who <a href="/news/articles/1671950/ti_prison-release.jhtml">ended an 11-month prison sentence</a> in September, told the website. The Andre 3000 remix dropped earlier this year and appears on K-Dollar Sign's album <i>Cannibal.</i> The guys will have a lot of swagger to compete with because when Andre appeared on the first remix, he had this to say: "We start out so cute in our baby pictures/ That mama shot for our daddy so that he wouldn't forget you/ He forgot anyway, but hey, one day he'll remember/ If not, he's human, I'm human, you human, we'll forgive him/ I call her Keisha, she like it because it's 'hood to her/ She call me Andre 6000 because I'm good to her." Tip told XXLmag.com that his appearance on the Ke$ha song is just one of many remixes he's amped about. He has also worked on remixes for Meek Mill and Rick Ross's "Ima Boss," as well as Jay-Z and Kanye West's <i>Watch the Throne</i> song "N---as in Paris." "I'm looking for some more records to jump on," he said. "That's what I'm doin' right now. I'm commandeering hit records right now. I'm hijacking hit records. Los Looking For Diddy To 'Amplify' His Career
'Now it's officially time to move forward,' Baltimore MC tells MTV News of getting to work with Bad Boy Records.

Los had no idea that Diddy would be announcing his signing to Bad Boy with MTV News at the top of the month, but now that the cat is out of the bag, the Baltimore, Maryland, rap standout is excited to get to work.
"He didn't tell me that he was gonna say it. I think that he was just in the moment and he was just goin' and it just kinda came out," Los told MTV News on Tuesday. "I got the news at the same time other people got the news."
The The Crown Ain't Safe MC officially signed his deal with Diddy's storied label at the end of last year, but they had decided to save the announcement. The news broke a little earlier than Los expected, but he is hyped up nonetheless. "I was just excited about it. I was like, 'Now it's officially time to move forward, let's get everything goin',' because we had been keeping it low for a minute," he said.
This isn't Los' first go-round with Bad Boy, however. He auditioned for Puff's "Making the Band 2" in 2002 and made it to the end of the competition, but wasn't a part of the manufactured Da Band because he wouldn't sign the necessary waivers. The truth is, Los wasn't interested in being a part of a group, but he would go on to sign a solo deal with Diddy around 2005. The original Bad Boy deal went through a local independent label that Los was signed to, but after the owners of the label went through some legal trouble, Los was released from Bad Boy in 2008. Still, he and Combs maintained a connection.
"He called me every day, every night; he called me," Los said. "Man this guy don't sleep; he would call me 2 in the morning, then text me 3 in the morning, text me 4, 5. I'm like, 'Yo when is he getting rest?' "
Diddy's texts would pretty much mirror the motivational tweets he's known to send. In the middle of the night, Los we get random messages like "Let's make history" and "Let's go!" It was that type of energy that the young MC craved. Eventually he decided that he would once again sign with Bad Boy.
"It just reminded me of his brand and what it represents: no sleep, hard work, history, success," Los said of the work ethic that has become synonymous with all things Diddy. "I decided to bring it back to Puff, and I felt like no one could amplify my situation as much as he could anyway."

Selena Gomez Replaces Miley Cyrus In Adam Sandler Vampire Flick
Animated 'Hotel Transylvania' set for September release.

It seems that the Disney girls have each other's backs. Miley Cyrus will no longer be able to voice a part in Adam Sandler's animated vampire flick, "Hotel Transylvania," and it seems that Selena Gomez has stepped up to the plate to fill in for her.
A rep for Sandler told E! News that the actress will play the part of Mavis, the vampire daughter of Dracula (Sandler). Dracula, who runs a resort of all the creepy folks in the world, gets worried when his teen daughter falls for a boy. E! reports that "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg, singer and "The Voice" judge Cee Lo Green and Sandler's pal Kevin James also have sunk their teeth into roles in the film, expected to drop in September.
Back in November, an image of Mavis floating around showed the teen vamp with short black hair, sporting a little black dress with black-and-red striped tights. She rocks the look with red high-top sneakers.
Before she voices Mavis, Gomez will be on set for the much-more-mature "Spring Breakers," which follows a group of college girls who rob a restaurant to pay for their spring break. When they land in jail, a drug and arms dealer bails them out, and they quickly become entangled with him. "I'm really, really excited about it," Gomez said about the Harmony Korine-directed film.
"We have to say there's a lot to be excited about. It's a different character than I have ever played before," she added. "It's a different kind of vibe, I think, than people are used to seeing me in. What you're going to see is more raw, I think. It's going to be raw and more about acting."
Gomez will produce and most likely star in the big-screen adaptation of the Jandy Nelson novel "The Sky Is Everywhere." She's also rumored to be attached to a film called "Hot Mess."
As for Cyrus, she's got some big projects set for release this year. She's going to drop her college-set comedy "So Undercover" and the dramedy "LOL," co-starring Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.

The NBC hit show Who Do You Think You Are? is all new tonight and I have some fantastic sneak peeks at what celebrity is discovering new dirt about their ancestry. Lady Gaga Drops Tour Poster, Fashion Film

On Tuesday, she dropped a sketch of her gothic castle-themed <a href="/news/articles/1678676/lady-gaga-born-this-way-stage.jhtml">stage design</a>, and in the very early hours of Wednesday morning (February 8), she teased fans with a poster for the trek. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:717952" width="240" height="211"></div><p> The black-and-white poster, which includes touches of neon purple and turquoise, features an omniscient image of Gaga, decked out in her full "BTW" horned look, looking down from the sky. Underneath, in a castle that looks an awful lot like the one from the tour sketch, Gaga, wearing a piano dress, hangs with a group of suit-wearing dudes. And, for those paying close enough attention, Zombie Boy even makes an appearance, peeking out from one of the castle windows. In her long-simmering latest <a href="/news/articles/1670550/lady-gaga-you-and-i-fashion-film.jhtml">"Yoü and I" fashion film</a>, Gaga portrays her male alter ego, <a href="http://popcrush.com/lady-gaga-fourth-haus-of-u-you-i-fashion-jo-calderone" target="_blank">Jo Calderone</a>. Jo smolders in the mini-film, smoking his way through it. Clips of Jo stripping (revealing Gaga's taped-down chest) are intercut with shots of Gaga done up in an S&M-type outfit, dancing and tossing her long blond hair. The same outfit is worn by other dancers also featured in the clip, directed by Inez and Vinoodh. 'Hunger Games' Stars 'Blown Away' By The Capitol
But Jennifer Lawrence is less excited about her singing: 'I am a horrible singer. And I'm an even worse person to be around when I'm singing.'

For our fellow "Hunger Games" fans who obsess over Suzanne Collins' brilliant books and their upcoming film adaptations as much as we do, there are so many things to love about the story that it's difficult to pick just one or two (or five) things we're looking forward to seeing when the movie opens March 23. But two of the most intriguing elements involved in the book-to-movie translation are what the Capitol will look like and how star Jennifer Lawrence will sound singing Rue's Lullaby.
MTV News was lucky enough to get a few hints about those specific topics during our recent chat with Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, both of whom can't wait to see the Capitol in the finished film but disagree about their excitement for Lawrence's singing skills.
"[I'm excited to see] everything in the Capitol," Lawrence said. "Every time we showed up at a Capitol scene, I was so blown away. Everything was more than you could have even imagined."
"What was cool about the stuff in the Capitol, so much was practical," Hutcherson added. "The whole apartment scene was all a set they built that was super, incredibly futuristic and amazing, and to see how that is integrated with the whole green-screen world as well is going to be really, really cool."
Lawrence was not quite as enthusiastic about hearing her voice in the film, however. When we brought up the subject, she seemed to immediately get nervous about it.
"Oh God, oh God. Yeah, I did [sing]," she said when asked about recording "Rue's Lullaby." "I'm a terrible singer."
"She's not," Hutcherson said.
"No, Josh! Stop," Lawrence said to Hutcherson with sincerity. "He is messing with everyone."
"She's been called the songbird of her generation," Hutcherson jumped in with a smile, referencing a Will Ferrell line in "Step Brothers."
"My voice is a combination of Fergie and Jesus," Lawrence played along. "No, I am a horrible singer. And I'm an even worse person to be around when I'm singing. I'm a terrible singer. I hated it."
Lawrence said the recording process with famed producer T-Bone Burnett was particularly excruciating.
"T-Bone Burnett, like, the best person to ever happen to music is, like, listening in the other room. I kept getting ready, and then the music would play, and I'd [freak out]," she recalled. "Nothing would come out of my mouth."

Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert Sing "America the Beautiful"
Taking center stage at the big game, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were among the performers gracing the stage at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, IN on Sunday (February 5).
The country singing couple helped open things up as they teamed up to treat the sold out crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium to a rendition of "America the Beautiful".
Shelton and Lambert joined a lineup of star performers including National Anthem singer Kelly Clarkson and halftime show act Madonna (who brought along a little help in Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.).
Meanwhile, Blake can be seen in the second season premiere of his NBC music competition show "The Voice" right after the conclusion of the NFL Championship game - in the meantime, enjoy the videos of he and Miranda singing "America the Beautiful" along with a preview clip of tonight's debut episode of "The Voice".

Celebrity Beach Bowl Draws Out Nina Dobrev, Kate Upton
Always an entertaining event, DIRECTV's Sixth Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl took place at Victory Field in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday afternoon (February 4).
Adding plenty of eye candy to the no-holds-barred flag football match, Nina Dobrev, Kate Upton, Maria Menounos and Chrissy Teigen were among the celebrities suiting up for the gridiron competition.
For the pre-Super Bowl game, "How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris and "Blue Collar" hunk Matt Bomer were named as "celebrity assistant coaches? while Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton and the Detroit Lions? gunslinger Matthew Stafford acted as head coaches.
With former footballers Joe Montana and Warren Moon serving as quarterbacks, other celebs partaking in the event included "Gossip Girl"actor Chace Crawford and singer Jordin Sparks, as well as "True Blood" stud Joe Manganiello and rapper Snoop Dogg.
Rounding out the slate of competitors were Candica Accola, Erin Andrews and David Arquette, who said of his time in Indy, "What I really like about Super Bowl in general is that it introduces you to another city. Indianapolis is a beautiful city a lot of people might not know about or have not visited. To come here and to meet the people and see the city, that is my favorite part actually."
